I first purchased a Samsung Blu-Ray Disc Player, but could not get it to work with the LG HDTV I had using HDMI input. I tried 3 different cables. The Samsung player would flash white noise on the screen and restart the video. I tried the Samsung player on a friends Sony HDTV and it worked fine with all 3 cables. I talked to LG and Samsung technical support and got no where. I purchased the LG BR390 and problem solved. I really like the picture quality better too.
