I hesitate to submit a review because there are so many excellent reviews from people who really understand these things. So I will say right now that I am a woman in her mid-50's and I don't have an IT background. I still don't understand how you can record something when it's not playing on the TV screen.
That being said, this product was so easy to set up. I purposely saved it for the weekend when I would be fresh and up to the challenge. I tried to prepared myself for the eventual call to my computer savvy brother and considered how much I could afford to pay him to set it up. With low expectation I started the process.
Honestly it took me about 20 minutes. I do have a wireless network at home and hooking up to it and downloading Netflix was a dream. I couldn't believe how quickly I could start a movie from my queue.
The HMDI cable is a fabulous improvement from all the colored wires that used to intimidate me. I purchased through Amazon when I ordered the unit. The quality of the Bluray movie was astounding once I figured out how to select the resolution--even that was easy to find and implement.
