My original intention for buying the LG BD 390 Network Blu-ray Disc Player was to finally get blu-ray capability. After receiving the unit, I rented a blu-ray movie and fiddled around with the special effects and enjoyed the the high definition video...but my main focus was to enjoy the movie, not spend time playing with blu-ray extras like creating my own mashups, playing games, or being interrupted by the director throughout the movie. So oddly, the thing that really appeals to me about the LG BD390 is not blu-ray anymore, but its accessibility to media via the network. I can stream Netflix, YouTube, and MP3 and video files/movies from myPC (via the included DLNA server software). I wish it could also do Internet radio and play Quicktime video; otherwise, almost all my media is now available through this single device, and via my single universal remote. Pretty soon the Vudu service will be available through this device via a firmware upgrade over the Internet, and I won't even see myself having to buy or rent blu-ray discs anymore! By the way, it was also very easy and straightforward to setup. It took me about 30 minutes to setup with my A/V receiver, secured home WiFi, plus move and dust some shelves in my A/V cabinet.Get more detail about LG BD 390 Network Blu-ray Disc Player.
