
Bought this player in June. Very good picture quality on BD and upscaling. Excellent function on Netflix. Streaming media fair as not all major codecs supported.
My unit failed at four months (repeat freezes with auto-shutdowns) requiring service. Unfortunately, the LG warranty only covers labor for 90 days (parts for one year). Fortunately, I'm covered with AMEX for additional 3 months on labor.
So, in summary, very good product when working, reliability obviously a question, with short-term coverage on warranty.
UPDATE (13 November):
Sent the unit in for service and received it back. As far as I can tell, absolutely nothing done to the player. Freezes even faster than before. Called customer service (sic) and after being treated fairly rudely, requested a supervisor. Was put on hold for 20 minutes then disconnected.
Would avoid this product and LG in general. Apparently customer service is not something LG provides.Get more detail about LG BD 390 Network Blu-ray Disc Player.
