The LG unit is greta - it should be simple to set up and the picture quality is spectacular. I bought it for the wi-fi feature to download miovies from Netflix. After receiving the unit I had great difficulty getting movies form the net. I called LG and thwey said it was a Netflix problem, Netflix said it was an LG problem. Finally LG said to return the unit and Amazon was great about sending a replacement.
The new unit arrived and the same problem - but someone finally at LG said that the problem was with the firmware in my D Link Router. D-Link oput out new firmware, but did not advertise it. He directed me to the site and as soon as I installed it everything worked great.
It's unfortunate that LG support isn't well trained. If they knew this at the beginning all would have been fine.
Now the unit works great - the picture quality is great and the downloads are quick and seaml;ess.
One more thing - make sure your download spead from your internet provider is fast enough to meet the minimum requirements for the LG unit. A direct connection works best!Get more detail about LG BD 390 Network Blu-ray Disc Player.
