I had hooked this unit up to a Vizio LCD television and was having problems. I was going to return the player to Amazon since I thought it was defective. Before I boxed the unit, I connected it to my Samsung television and it worked fine. It appears there is a compatability issue between blue ray player and Vizio televisions. I have a older Samsung Blue Ray Player that I have now hooked up to the Vizio television using the same HDMI cable and it works perfectly. This was not a problem for me since I will now use this unit with the Samsung Television.
