This Blu-ray player is a fabulous piece of equipment! Blu-ray discs load in half the time of my gen1 player with superior 1080p video and sound quality. Upconversion of standard DVDs is also excellent.
But the real beauty of the LG BD390 is its wireless streaming. It took less than five minutes to handle the network configuration and bingo ... streaming NetFlix HD video as clear as a bell. YouTube, CinemaNow and Vudu are also available. Now that I have watched for several weeks, I continue to be amazed at the clarity and near-perfect reliability. It's far better in every way than digital on-demand service from cable.
Software and firmware upgrades are fully automated. The system alerts you when powered on, and you decide when to start the download with a single click. Sweet.
There are a few improvements I would like to see in the future: an iPod interface (including video) and a built-in SD card reader would be #1. The remote control looks cheap and feels flimsy.
