I have had this player for almost a month now and have no regrets with this purchase. We mainly use regular dvds and have had no no trouble with the download/conversion to 1080p. However, we do use a HDMI cable to ensure there are no conversion problems. We use a wireless router, so the picture quality for You Tube and Netflix can be a little bit off sometimes. Depending on what you watch and how good the original video/file is, you can barely notice the clarity issue. We have not set up the My Media function yet, however I am looking forward to doing so. Assuming it works as advertised, you can tap into your computer and look at pictures, video, or music on your tv via this dvd player.
