Usually I don't do a lot of research before I purchase and item. However after getting burned on a couple of other technical items I purchased recently, I decided to do my homework before I bought this item. Am I glad I did! This baby is slick and neat, virtually trouble free! I had a couple of glitches with the wireless aspect but that had more to do with the location of the player in relation to my wireless signal. After relocating the cable box and made a small reconfig to my home Linksys network this baby fired up like a champ! Several upgrades popped up and I took care of them with no problem whatever! My biggest use is Netflix and I just love bypassing the generally dumb TV fare burdened down with mind polluting ads. I just sit back and enjoy my favorite flicks! The PPV movies are redundant for me since Netflix takes care of my needs! DVD play is also very nice and picture quality is superb! I would recommend this product to anyone! I am very glad I researched this one because I was tempted to go for the Sony or the Panasonic models at the big box stores at a lower price. That would have been a mistake for sure. Those and other models are certainly cheaper but from what I have found, they are not a better buy! Amazon's price is just right for the features included and well worth every penny!
